INVESTING IN NORTH SHORE FOOTBALL AND NETBALL
A re-elected Albanese Labor Government would invest $4 million towards critical upgrades to Windsor Park in Norlane, supporting the North Shore Football and Netball (FNC) and Cricket Club:
This election commitment would deliver:
- Lighting over two netball courts to enhance safety and meet Netball Victoria’s guidelines
- New cricket practice nets
- Improvements to the main pavilion
- Vehicle and pedestrian access
- Open space and ancillary sporting infrastructure improvements.
As a community hub for Geelong’s north, these much-needed upgrades and world class facilities will promote participation in sport and bring the community together.
This funding is an addition to announcements by the Council and State Government delivering female-friendly change rooms and will deliver fulsome upgrades to the North Shore FNC.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
